Some come to the world as girls or boys, but some don’t feel that body. While some spend their entire lives in a body they do not want, some prefer sex transitions to live as they feel; while men turn into women, women turn into men. However, some conditions are necessary to change sex because the main purpose of these surgeries is that sex change is mandatory for mental health.
This surgery dates back to the 1930s. There are many famous gender-changing names in the world. Kim Kardashian’s stepfather, Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s own father, William Bruce Jenner, came into the world as a man, but changed into a woman with sex-change surgery and changed his name to Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner said that she felt like a woman since her childhood and changed her sex at the age of 66.
Sex change surgeries are on the rise worldwide. In 2016, plastic surgeons in the US performed more than 3,250 sex-change operations. This number increased by 19 percent compared to the previous year. In the UK, 54 sex transitions were performed in 2000, while this number increased to 143 in 2009, tripling demand.
What kind of process awaits the person who wants to change gender?
The female ovaries, uterus and vagina removed from the woman; testicles and penis is removed from the man. If the person is going to be a woman in the same session, her vagina is created. If necessary, prostheses are placed on the breasts. Vagina, ovaries, egg channels and breasts are taken if the woman is going to return to man. Finally, penis surgery is done. This is irreversible.
